Hi all. My name is Luca and I am very happy you could make it to my pawsite.
I am glad to be here and share with you the news about me and my doggy pals.
I was born on a farm in Hampshire , England (nice place!) in 2006 and I had brothers and sisters too, but we all got separated, of course, and I now have two carers, Elaine & George who take care of me.
Everyone knows me as Luca, but I have a proper kennel name of Cobbets Gato DaLuca.
I really enjoy chasing around outside and love to be on the sofa with these things called 'people' and to sit on their lap, but most of all I like the house where I live cos they got all sorts of neat stuff that I can gnaw at and chew.
A few times I have been back to the farm where I was born and it's wicked. I get to run with other dogs just like me.
Phew! I have been busy the past months. My carers, Elaine and George have made me go to school and I have to walk around and do things they say. All I hear is 'Luca - sit', or 'Luca, good boy', or 'Luca - no'. Half the time I don't know what they're wanting me to do.....all I want is to find some squishy toy I can chew on, or just run around with my doggy pals. Anyway, school is OK.
Also, I am taken to what they call 'shows', though to me they ought to be called 'waits' cos I seem to do a lot of it! But, it's great fun, cos I get my coat combed and made to look pretty, but they won't let me find a muddy puddle to lay in. Then I have to strut around and do my stuff, looking good and then a person called a judge comes up and if I have been very good, they give me a rosette, but I'd rather have something to chew. My carers seem happy when that happens.
I have a brother called Freddy and a sister called Quiz, and their owner's take them to the same shows. It means we get a chance to say hello and discuss show stuff. The three of us are a bit mystified by all this show lark, but there you go, you have to pacify these humans some times.
I like it when we go to a place with lots of trees and big spaces where I can run and not come back when they call me and hunt for leaves and all sorts of neat stuff.
But at home is great too, cos I can sit on the sofa with people who come to visit and bash em' with my paws and nibble and lick their ears.
I've got two other 'brothers' - well, they're not my real brothers, but they were there at the house when I first went there. At first is was tough, but now I enjoy being with them. They're a bit small, but I like them, specially when we play together.
The boss is Simba. Just one look from him and I sit quiet. Even Wiggie does what he's told when Simba speaks.

Wiggie is my other brother and he is so noisy and always chasing me.

Also, I have a lady in my life, she is rather exotic and is called Tazmina, but I'm allowed to call her Taz. Sometimes she comes to dinner with us, and in August she is coming to stay for two weeks, while her owners go on holiday. Separate bedrooms of course. Can't wait!
Me and my carers love to hear from people, so if you want to get us in a hurry, or just send a message, please go to the Contact page and message us,
Ha Ha! I know it's had to find the time and the right words to say, but I will nudge my carers to write in my blog (Paws for Thought) (what a funny word fo a diary!) so you can get a sense of what I am doing.
If you enjoyed reading the stuff in my pawsite, then let me know by writing something in my guestbook.
Come back soon!
